In component 4E, teaching requires continual growth and development to remain current and improve efficiency and student learning. By continuing to develop professionally, teachers become more effective and better leaders among their colleagues. Growth in content, pedagogy, and information technology are all vital as a great teacher. Teachers should also network with other colleagues from around the world to improve their teaching. Belonging to professional organization, reading academic journals, attending educational conferences, taking additional college courses, and continuing to develop a professional learning network are all factors in growing and developing as a professional educator.
