In component 3A, teachers communicate with students for a variety of purposes. First, they make the purpose of teaching and learning clear. They also must convey clear directions to students for class activities. Presentations must be accurate and displayed clearly with explanations and metaphors for students to remember. Teachers must use vivid and rich language to extend students' vocabularies. All learning expectations should be clearly explained. The language teachers use should be used to display the lesson's content and clearly present its purpose. There should be no oral or written errors in the teacher's language.
