In component 4A, teachers contemplate and reflect after every instructional event. Teachers analyze the entire instructional event, including planning and implementation of lessons and resources, delivery, and student understanding. After considering all these methods, teachers determine where changes can be made to increase student learning and implement those strategies in future lessons. Teachers can get meaningful feedback from conversations with students and other teachers, self-reflection, and outside resources and blogs. Teachers must be specific, honest, and accurate when reflecting on their teaching are skills that teachers develop through practice. Eventually, teachers analyze their instruction from a student perspective to improve their teaching.
